We buy ferrous and nonferrous industrial scrap metals from more than 200 industrial customers throughout Houston, the most populous city in the Southern United States, and transport and sell these metals the same day to many local metals recycling facilities that sort and process the metals. Houston’s economy since the late nineteenth century has a broad economic base in construction, energy, manufacturing, aeronautics, and transportation industries that offer a consistent source of industrial scrap metals. Steel mills are the primary end users for our ferrous scrap metal. Foundries, refineries, smelters, specialty steel makers, wholesalers and other recycled metals processers are the primary end users for our nonferrous scrap metal. The steel industry is heavily dependent on scrap recyclers for lower input costs compared with mined ore. Further, recycling plays a vital role in conserving natural resources. As one of the largest recyclers of ferrous and nonferrous unprocessed metal in our region, we take advantage of our recycling tonnage by consistently offering the best local prices to our customers. In addition, we make the process simple for our customers by providing clean roll-off containers and other bins for collection and storage of recyclable metals as well as same-day pickups. We rarely lose a customer that has one or more of our collection units on site. We expect to report revenue and seller’s discretionary earnings of $6.3 million and $800,000, respectively, for the year ended December 31, 2020.
