Seller operates one protected franchise territory in the Northwest Chicago Suburbs and the territory contains nearly 300,000 households. The company sets itself apart from other restoration companies that depend on insurance company referrals for their base of business. Franchisee works directly with property owners - residential and commercial - to restore, repair and maintain their properties. The franchisor developed proprietary systems in developing the business model to differentiate and better define the services provided. Light environmental services encompass a range of services that keep buildings and properties healthy, safe and efficient. These services are more technical than general cleaning, janitorial, maid and window washing services, but not as highly technical or regulated as for example asbestos or toxic/petroleum spill and EPA Superfund cleanups. Their service segment spans several multi-billion dollar markets. The business model allows the operator great freedom and flexibility in running the business by focusing on several different services that are needs-based and are 75-80% scheduled services vs. emergency work. The operation is not a typical insurance restoration franchise or cleaning-services model. Franchisor intentionally developed and continues to expand the service mix to include multiple non-insurance-based lines that provide mostly scheduled work and are less about emergencies. Unlike a typical restoration franchise, cash flow isn’t dependent on insurance reimbursements.
